Once you or your child is ready to test, you will need to find a test session. Registering for a test is not difficult, but there are a few things you’ll want to know before starting.
First, understand that there are fees associated with taking tests. These fees cover things like ice time, travel expenses for judges (for in-person tests), honorariums for judges, and administrative expenses associated with the paperwork, just to name a few. Oftentimes, you can find virtual tests that are less expensive than in-person tests. This is because they do not require as much overhead (specifically ice time and travel and accommodations for judges). Most of our skaters test virtually.
You will need a Permission to Test form when registering for a test session at another club. This form is available in the club locker room at the rink. After you have completed it, either the President or the Treasurer must sign it
It’s best to have an electronic copy of your completed Permission to Test form ready before beginning the registration process as the final step usually prompts you to upload this form.
The document How to Register for a Test outlines how to go about registering for a test via entryeeze.
