Virtual Test Session
Our virtual test session on Monday, March 2nd provided some great results. Congratulations to the following skaters!!
- Elisabeth passed her Pre-Preliminary Skating Skills with Honors
- Jared passed his Pre-Preliminary Skating Skills
- Johie passed her Pre-Gold Solo Free Dance with Honors
- Kinzleigh passed her third Pre-Gold Solo Pattern Dance – Blues
- Lillian passed her Silver Skating Skills
- Olivia passed two of her Gold Solo Pattern Dances – Argentine Tango and Quickstep (with Honors)
- Sophia passed her Preliminary Skating Skills
We will be hosting another virtual test session in a few months, so keep an eye out for the announcement.
Skating Show at Canaan – weekend of March 13-14
Several of our skaters are returning this season to Canaan Valley Resort. They will be performing in three shows over the course of the weekend: Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In between shows, they’ll be able to visit the local shops and enjoy outdoor activities – yes, there are other activities aside from skating! If you’ve ever considered spending a weekend in the area, this would be a great one. This will be our last show for the season. Hope to see you there!
Princess Skate – Sunday, March 15, 2:15 pm – 4:15 pm
SCMIA is hosting their 2nd annual Princess Skate with support from our very own skating princesses. The cost is $10 per skater which includes skating with your favorite princess, arts and crafts, and a special play area for our youngest visitors. Contact the rink at 304-744-4423 for more information and spread the word!

Morgan and Dave competed at the 2026 Albert Viviani Memorial/Deborah Burgoyne North American Invitational in Wyandotte, MI last month and earned gold in both Adult Silver Pairs Free Skate and Adult Bronze Partnered Pattern Dance. Well done!!
