Changes to Wednesday Club Ice
We’re making some changes to our freestyle club ice on Wednesday nights. Beginning Wednesday, February 4th, the cost will be $5 per half hour with a minimum of 1 hour, which means that skating the full 2½ hours will now cost $25. Each 30 minutes session will begin on the 15/45s of the hour (5:15, 5:45, 6:15, 6:45, and 7:15). Skaters will be expected to pay for the entire 30 minute session if they are on the ice for any part of it.
Skating Show at Canaan – weekend of February 20-22
Unfortunately, the January shows at the Canaan Valley Resort were cancelled due to “snowmageddon.” Fortunately, there are 2 more opportunities to go see our skaters perform this season. They will be performing in three shows over the course of the weekend: Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you’ve ever considered spending a weekend in the area, this would be a great one. If you can’t make it this month, there will be just one more chance this season – March 13-15, 2026. Virtual Test Session – Monday, March 2
Our next virtual test session will be held on Monday, March 2nd. The regular registration deadline is midnight on Wednesday, February 25th, and the late registration deadline (which incurs an additional $20 fee) is midnight on Sunday, March 1st. All videos for this test session must be submitted by Monday, March 2nd and filmed between Monday, February 16th and Monday, March 2nd. The testing fee includes 15 minutes of ice time per skater for filming (for CFSC members only). Instructions to sign up for filming will be provided upon registration. Talk to your coach if you’re interested in participating.
